Terms & Conditions and Company Policy for Voyage to the World of Western Classical Music

The Self-study program Voyage to the World of Western Classical Music to develop general knowledge on Western Classical music is organized, managed and conducted by Michael Makhal Symphony Orchestra Pvt. Ltd. (MMSO) through its music e-learning platform musiclesson.in under the hands of Mr. Michael Makhal. The entire project is planned and conceptualized by Internationally known Indian Composer and Conductor, founder of the Indo-European orchestra Maestro Michael Makhal (Founder and MD at MMSO).

The goal is to encourage the students to do personal research and study about the musical legends, the periods, compositions, history, and background of the Western Classical music world. This is not a contest, neither a formal examination, but research and study oriented program.

Recital

1. This particular terms & conditions shall serve for the respective Self-study Program for which the link of this T&C has been shared with the client (customer/student/parent).

2. The term ‘Self-study Program’ refers to the Voyage to the World of Western Classical Music, a project for students to develop general knowledge in Western Classical Music and any similar projects and programs that is organized by MMSO.

The Project

The project would be on a monthly ‘2 evaluation papers’ format. The program will be continuing and have different segments and set of question papers every month. A student may appear for one month or more, that’s the student’s choice. We would recommend the students to continue with the study with us every month in order to develop a comprehensive level of general knowledge in various areas of Western classical music.

The ‘Introduction Edition’ of the project is free of charge paper. We welcome and encourage students to participate in the free ‘Introduction Edition’ to get an idea of how the program is going to be. We would be charging a minimal monthly fee for the ‘monthly 2 papers program each month’. There would be 1 question paper with a study period of around 12-14 days, which the students have to answer after doing the research and study on their own based on the questions and submit before the deadline mentioned in the question paper. All the question papers will be prepared and shared through the ‘Google Forms’ format. The project will cover some of the most important areas of the Western Classical music World – Composers & Periods, Musicians, Instruments & Performance Disciplines and Compositions.

To study and answer the questions given in the evaluation papers, students will require to research and study on the internet and books (if available) on their own. There are many websites and blogs on the internet which has ample information and research material about the world of Western Classical music that the students can easily access and study. Wikipedia could be one of the places for such resources students might like to go through. The ‘Certificate of Participation’ will be presented to the students who would attend at least 5 months or 15 papers in a year for having done a comprehensive level of study and research on various areas and segments of Western Classical Music through our evaluation program.

Who Can Participate?

Everyone – who loves Western Classical music is welcome to participate in this program. There is no special qualification needed and there is no age limit. You are welcome to attend the free ‘Introduction Edition’ paper even if you are not going to participate in the main 2 papers monthly program. The link for the question paper is mentioned in the introduction email.

For the monthly 2 evaluation papers program

Monthly full payment (fee) for all the 2 Papers: Rs. 1,000/- plus GST. (for one month only)

For the entire 5 months (total 10 papers) program: Rs. 5000/- plus GST

The fee will include one free Webinar by Maestro Makhal on the Study Program and Western Classical Music Appreciation every month.

Certificate: The ‘Certificate of Participation’ will be presented to the students who would attend for 5 months (total 10 papers) in a year for having done a comprehensive level of study and research on various areas and segments of Western Classical Music through our evaluation program.

Terms & Conditions and Company Policies, Important Notes, Rules and Declarations

  1. The program is conducted and managed by Michael Makhal Symphony Orchestra (MMSO) through its music e-learning platform MusicLesson.In and team. The project is being led by Maestro Michael Makhal and his team.
  2. The Voyage to the World of Western Classical Music is a self-study program and not a lesson oriented service, which means, we won’t provide any assistance to the student on the respective research and study for the assessment program. This is precisely the purpose of the program. We want to direct the students towards doing personal research and study, based on the structured set of questions in each paper and gain knowledge in the process. The students will have a basic knowledge about the world of Western Classical music as they continue with the program. However, it is not possible to cover everything of such a vast subject in this project. We hope the program would inspire the students to study and learn further about the World of Western Classical music.
  3. Please note, Voyage to the World of Western Classical Music is a privately designed and an informal self-study program, it is not a formal examination project, neither recognized by any examination governing entity.
  4. The ‘Certificate of Participation’ will be presented to the students who would attend at least 5 months or 15 papers in a year for having done a comprehensive level of study and research on various areas and segments of Western Classical Music through our evaluation program. A student may request to take extra time to complete a particular paper in special circumstances, but that would be subject to consideration. Incomplete submission of a paper will not be accepted.
  5. Copy-Paste answers from the internet will not be accepted. Students should do their own research and write in their own words.
  6. The fee needs to be paid at least 3 days prior to the new monthly segment starting at the beginning of every month. The fee will include one free Webinar by Maestro Makhal on the Study Program and Western Classical Music Appreciation every month. Students who will continue the study every month will get one free webinar each month and the topic under ‘Music Application’ would be different in every session.
  7. The making of the successful payment by the client (customer/student/parent) for the self-study program and any of the online and similar music workshops and projects organized by MMSO will determine and confirm that the client has gone through the terms & conditions as mentioned in this draft, understood the draft properly and fully agreed to everything mentioned in this draft without any doubt, hesitation, or confusion.
  8. The participation/subscription fee will be preferably collected through the user-friendly booking and subscription system at our music e-learning platform musiclesson.in website. However, payments can be collected through online wire transfer too against the invoice.
  9. The fee is not refundable for no-show of the student or for any other reason from the student’s/client’s side.
